This place is so far the best place to bowhunt exotics that we been to in S.Texas. Friendly family business with full support and fair setup and prices. The land simply amazing: many ponds, meadows, thick oak forest, I already told most of my friends to go and visit. The only place so far where we found abundant high ladder stands with perfect view, seeing much action, quality exotics, good chances to shoot and harvest. They are doing great daily feedings as opposed to other bowhunting places, the animals are pretty, well fed and healthy. I loved all my locations i was sitting in the 2 days hunt (4 occasions). A unique opportunity on this ranch is the night hunting hogs at lit feeders that is very challenging and fun. I recommend night sites, even laser, or red dot for the night hunt.
I can not wait to go back. Already looking my calendar. Thank you for the great business Double L ranch does. I hope they be doing this for many more years.

We booked a hunt for 5 hunters on the weekend of 9-24 and had a rough time getting the animals to come to feed, due to the large amount of acorns falling. But, Pops was determined to get us on some animals and in the end he did. Pops had to work pretty hard to do it, but he followed through and every hunter bagged a trophy. We came away with 3 fallows, 1 black buck, and 1 sika. It was a great hunt and good time. A lot of thanks to Pops, Janie, Gary, Robbi, and Spencer. We will be back.

What a hoot! Hog hunting at night with a bow was something I had never done. Man was that enjoyable. It really tests you skills. Thank the good lord my aim was as good as the hunt, twice. Pops, your animals are all good looking; every one high class. Sorry I didn't shoot the Axis you put me on, I was just waiting for that bigger one to peek out. I will be back for him. Pop, THANK YOU! I spent this past weekend on the Double L Ranch & what an amazing place. The only thing better than all of the TOP CLASS trophy animals was the company! Pop & family will make you feel right at home. We had a weekend we will never forget & are already making plans to be back in a couple months. I just returned home from a weekend hunt at the ranch. This was my first visit to the Double L and I can assure you it will not be my last. The quality of game Pop has is second to none. The hospitality was great and the memories made will last forever. I will be recommending the Double L Ranch to everyone I know with a bow.

Pops, just wanted to thank you again for a great hunt and great hospitality. Wasn't the best of weather and I need to make a few adjustments to my equipment before returning, but I will be back. Didn't have success, but it wasn't for the lack of opportunity. Great animals. If I could suggest anything to anyone before going, it would be have a large peep and good lighted bowsight and you'll be in business.

Had a great hunt with Pops and company. Didn't get the fallow I was after but not because we didn't try hard. I had opportunities at other exotics each time on stand but was holding out for one particular fallow buck. Took some pork home and I'm looking forward to next year's hunt.
